On March 1, 2025, the Central Regional Golden Eagle Battalion’s Robotics Team attended Roosevelt High School’s Robotics Competition. Both of the team’s Bots went home with an award! Bot A won the Build Award and Bot B won the Design Award. The Build Award is given to the team who demonstrates the highest level of detail according to the robotics notebook, while the Design Award is given to the team with the most efficient design and accuracy.
C/MSG Hruby is the Commander of the Robotics Team this school year and has led the team to continuous success. Through demonstrating their bots’ ability to maneuver and interact with their environment properly, the Robotics Team went home with two awards as well as an invitation to the JROTC Robotics Nationals in Dallas, Texas, which will be taking place from May 8 to May 12. Additional shoutouts go out to the members of each team, cadets Smith, Caudill, Garcia, Giglio, and Guzman on the A team, and cadets Cominskey, Wheeler, Holterman, Lau, Garvey, Guzman on the B team.
The team is up against some tough competition in May so they will be spending the next few weeks staying after school multiple days a week and preparing for Nationals. As you see the team proudly wearing their JROTC Robotics Merch throughout the halls, be sure to congratulate them on their awards and wish them luck in the weeks ahead!
