Varsity baseball wins home opener 2-0
The varsity baseball team won their opening day match up Saturday beating Toms River South 2-0.
Billy Sottilare tripled and threw out a TR South runner at the plate to preserve a 0-0 score at the time.
Brayden Lowden and Mason Lisewski both had singles in their first varsity at bats. Lowden scored on a wild pitch and Dom Masino scored on a sacrifice fly R.B.I. by Shane Sajewicz.
That was all the scoring Central would need, as Cam Leiter was masterful, throwing a complete game 2 hit shutout, striking out 13.
