Outback Steakhouse Review

Cassidy Krill, Writer

Outback Steakhouse is an Australian-themed casual family restaurant with over one thousand locations around the world for hungry people to dine in. In the steakhouse, there is takeout, seating, television, highchairs, wheelchair accessibility, a full bar, and table service.  The restaurant is less crowded on weeknights than on the weekends. If weekend dining is preferred, call ahead seating is available, reliable, and easy to use. When entering and exiting, the staff is very quick to the doors, making sure they hold them open as you walk through.  When you arrive, the hostess takes your name and there is usually a brief wait before you are led to a table. While you wait, there is complimentary lemon water set out to quench your thirst.

Once seated, drink orders are taken, and within minutes, you are served what you requested with a smile from the friendly waiters and waitresses.  An adequate amount of time is alloted to browse through the large menu to find exactly what you are craving. The Outback has a range of selections for appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts.  They are very accommodating for allergies and certain diets, with low calorie options being highlighted in the menu. Food arrives in a speedy manner, though this is determined by the crowd in the restaurant, the day of the week, and the time that you arrive.  Time, however, moves faster when you are enjoying yourself at dinner with loved ones. This is possible due to the quiet nature of The Outback.

After your meal, it is time to pay.  The pricing of the food is moderate and affordable for middle class families.  It is never a burden to put money into the Steakhouse due to how delicious their food is.

Samantha Krill, an eighth grader at Central Regional Middle School, talks about her favorite meal at the restaurant.

“I love going out to eat at the Outback Steakhouse.  My family and I have a great time there. The ‘Blooming Onion’ is my absolute favorite appetizer to start my night off with, and the dipping sauce it comes with is amazing!  By the end of the night, as long as I still have room left and am not too full, I enjoy getting dessert. The ‘Thunder From Down Under’ is so good and keeps me coming back for more!”  She states.

In short, the Outback Steakhouse is an affordable, clean restaurant that is perfect for groups of any size and age.
